[[Insert pithy title here]]

Today I got a message from a fellow Etsy-er today. I'm included in this treasury:

Pretty cool. I wish I'd taken a screen shot of the last one ... oh well.

Also finally finished up this custom order. This was a little trickier than I had anticipated, but, overall, it turned out so cute, I can't believe it. I hope the new owner likes it as much as I do. Here it is:

It's going to my 2nd favorite city in the country.

Other than that, life is hectic. Mr. has amusing tales to tell about Transformers II, none of which I am at liberty to post publicly. Oh well ...

I've been a pinch busy, but not nearly as busy as my copy-cat fan. I truly love how she now no longer even makes an attempt to hide the fact that she is (damn near) cutting & pasting some of my listings.

In my head, I hear Joe Pesci going "You're a mutt".

I'm off to sling cocktails ...

Ellas McDaniel

[In all the living of my own life, this got pushed to the back burner.]

My favorite Gunslinger of them all.

Yikes, that one went quick ....

This will have to be a multi-parter. Almost like a soapie, less the emoting and bombastic costuming ...

Party was a major smash. I had no idea ... I was touched.

[Later edit]

Friday night, my actual b-day, midnight-ish.

Part one:

What is not visible in this shot: the puddle of vomit under drivers side window; the bars (where I work, but didn't on Friday) in front of which this (passed out) guy is parked.

This is my friend P., also tipsy, also celebrating his b-day. Thumbs up!!!!

What could possibly be better than this???

Part two:

How about climbing into a strangers car, univited, for photo ops? The thing that really amused me was that dude came to, noticed a stranger in his car, noticed another stranger photographing it, and a crowd of people in front of 2 different bars pointing and laughing. And he hides his face from the camera.
Priceless.

While Mr. naps, the cats nap and everyone else drinks beer ...

Todays top 3:

1. I bought myself *another* early b-day gift. This absolutely AWESOME pin from von Walhof Jewelry. The pictures DO NOT even begin to do this justice. I am so over the moon with this. There have been 3 or 4 things that I've seen on etsy that I've gone bonkers over. This is one; it's as if Bettina had me in mind while she made it. Perfect, perfect, perfect!!!!

I was thinking that I should wait until Friday to wear it, being that Friday is the actual day. Now I'm thinking that I'm going to debut her tomorrow night at the party ... hmm.

2. Unrelated, but utterly hysterical, are the endlessly edited and re-edited posts from my favorite self-absorbed blogger. I can only liken the blogger to Ignatius Reilly, less 20 or 50 I.Q. points. I can't tell you how much enjoyment I get out of this blog ... if only I could share it.

3. Stupid blogger ate this one! All about married life. And sappy as hell. Maybe later ...

Cuteable today ....

Angie's yellow 'Sandy' wristlet is featured on Cuteable today! How awesome; go here to check it out!!!

Off to P.O., errands, errands, and some more errands. Yesterday was far too crummy to actually do anything. Spent 70% of the day napping with the Jinxer. Since I got damn near *nothing* done yesterday, I'm doing it all today ...

Didn't even go to the show last night ...

Etsy treasury

How cool, I was included in this sexy animal print treasury.

More pix of the roses, but later ...

File this one under "Ironic, Richly"

I get a convo yesterday on Etsy. Another seller taking offense to this item:

Taking offense because --- [wait for it] --- she seems to think that I stole her singularly unique idea of making zippy pouches. Out of this fabric [readily available on the internet, for any and all to purchase].

My listing style, which I've been using for the last year, as well as my pictures and lining fabrics, are *questionable* or just downright *plagarized* [yeah, I know, not exactly the right word] to this seller.

The thing is this: not only have I been using the same basic style for a year, as it has evolved into the current look, I've noticed *other* sellers appropriating it.

It must be an okay idea, since other sellers now list that way. But it doesn't change the fact that I was the FIRST one to do it; meaning: my original idea. Meaning: I used that style 5 months before this person. This person who passive-aggressively accused me of copying her.

I tried to get this seller to explain, or at least clearly state what she was inferring. I'm amazed that she actually had the audacity to contact me, all things considered. It blows my mind that after half-ass accusing me, she doesn't even have the balls to say what she means. I flat out asked her to explain herself, and rather than actually doing that, just sends a dismissive little response. The infernet equivelent of "because I said so".

I feel like this broad is issuing [or trying to, anyway] a 'cease and desist'. Which, frankly, ain't happening. Seriously, who the hell owns the market on cutesy-kawaii bags? I'm supposed to just quit because a random stranger feels threatened?!? Or, as the kids say 'go fuck yourself' ...

I felt compelled to send a snotty response back, but ultimately, that isn't going to do anything other than cause a problem.

The whole thing makes me think of the cheating ex. 5 years into it, he starts with the accusations. I actually hadn't done anything wrong; come to find out 8 months later he is cheating on me. Then it all made perfect sense: the best defense is a good offense.

Those in clean conscious generally don't walk around pointing fingers ...
