We all need someone to lean on ...

Or, barring that, this:

This amused me righteously.

Little Miss Procrastinatin'

Have been semi-productive this weekend. Went w/K. to the gigunder fabric super store yesterday. Spent a ton of $$$ and most of the day out.

Get home to see that I've more orders of not-in-stock items. At this point, I'm so behind, I can not believe it! I was hoping to just sit in and work last night, but instead, we went to the Friggs reunion.

Nuttin much ...

If you know me in RL, then you know how very much I dislike baseball. If you really know me in RL, then you know how much Mr. loves baseball. Wednesday night, we went to the game. It makes him happy, and I do love the park, as there are myriad things to do other than pay attention to baseball.

I do love the fact that we can walk there in about 15 minutes. That is pretty damn sweet.

Treasury

I was just contacted by craftyfolk, letting me know of my inclusion. Check out Sarah's super cute prints.

Yup, I *should* be doing something else ...

A Quick One, While He's Away ...

I've done this idea before, 3 years ago, as a matter of fact. I'll be doing it again, with the addition of ... a little something extra.

I'm sure it'll show up in ol' copycat's shop within a week...

Red letter killing day

This isn't all from the last two days. It's just one page. Hooray! I've been bustin' my hump for the last 3 years trying to get exactly where I am, and finally, after alot of hard work, it's paying off. I'm really proud of myself.

Stopped by Omoi to see Liz and see if I needed to restock. I've been so stinkin' busy all summer that I haven't been by there since May! Apparently the only thing left is a change purse. Yikes! I've got some really cool new stuff to drop off for her this week. Some of it *may* make an appearance in my etsy shop in 2 weeks. We'll see. Perhaps tomorrow I'll post a sneak peek.

I've said this before, probably a million times, but I'm getting to the point where I just don't want to stand behind a bar much longer. It's not that I dislike my job, it's just that after 12 years, I'm ready for a change. Not to mention, this is a game for young[er] folks. I did my time, now I just want to be old-ish, and content to sit on the other side.

Picked up an extra shift tonight; super short, not entirely horrible for a Monday night. Got to work with my girl, figure out what I should do for the Craft ad.

But. Still find things frustrating, ironic, more frustrating. Think how a year and a half ago, NONE of this shit would have flyed. [Or is that flew?] Once again, shake my fist over all of it. Think about alot of things - here's the magic list, here's things to make it better, albeit different, bad decisions, et al.

I'm not going to get all maudlin here, or explain myself further. If you actually know me in RL, then you know what I mean.

So, with this, I wind down. I need another drink, as I've closed the bar, waited on a cab, dropped her off, chatted with regular driver out front of the house, chatted with hubbs, typed this, fussed over the cat, and the bar hasn't even been closed for 90 minutes. Dang, it's only been an hour - including closing, cleaning, counting and doing all the other myriad things my oh-so-glamourous job entails.

Now, most importantly, where is my cocktail?!?

I'm so flattered to be included in such a cool treasury. I love the Victorian Kitty and Measuring Tape bracelet.

Rain dates, angry squirrels and pleasant strangers

Today [Wednesday] was [is] Wolf Bait's 2 year Etsy-versary. Technically, I've been on Etsy since 9/2005, but I had a name change 2 years ago. I had all these grandiose ideas planned, none of which actually happened. Stupid RL interfering with life on the infernets ...

I'm thinking I may do something later in the month, which would be the actual *real* b-day of what has since evolved into WB. We'll see.

Beyond that, busy, busy, busy. Should be going back to work on Friday. Another show on Saturday. Dunno about work the rest of the weekend. Almost hope I get another week off. Have gotten a whole lot of extraneous crap out of this house, would still like to get more done.

K & I had a show outside a bar on Sunday; was *almost* a total bust. Met some really great vendors, exchanged cards/e-mail. That was pretty cool.

At one point even thought to myself "Thank God for extroverts". The woman talking to us was so sweet and bubbly, I was really pleased to have met her. I would have never randomly started up a conversation with her, as that just isn't my nature. But I'm usually receptive to strangers approaching me, provided they aren't crazy, or looking to get over/laid/something for nothing.

There was also the very angry squirrel in the tree above us, pelting us with half-eaten crab apples and walnut shells. Bastard! Makes me want to stop feeding the stupid squirrels in the yard. But I will, no matter how much I grouse.

With that, I'm off to shower. Despite being almost 1 a.m., it is still so damn hot that it's like living on the sun.
